Access Query Builder

When performing a search, you can use Query Builder to create queries that narrow your search results by focussing on specific selections and conditions.

There are two ways to access the Query Builder functionality:

         Query Builder button. You can open the Query Builder interface to create a search from scratch. For more information, see Starting a Search in Query Builder.

         Existing Search. You can start a regular search and then use Query Builder to define the relationship between the selections you made. For more information, see Using Query Builder in an Existing Search.

Starting a Search in Query Builder

1           On the homepage, select the database list you want to find records in.

2           Click the Start QB button. The Query Builder page opens, enabling you to start a new search within the Query Builder interface.

Using Query Builder in an Existing Search

To apply Query Builder to an existing search in which you have already made selections:

1           Start a search and make the geographical and/or additional selections of your choice.

2           After you have made selections, click the Start QB button. The Query Builder page opens, displaying any selections you already made in your search as boxes in the query segment.
